Seagull in my Drink Art Exhibition by Reif Myers
  • Reif Myers invites you to his first international solo exhibition at NASAB Dubai 
  • Hailing from Perth Western Australia, Reif has found himself a long way from the white beaches and waves to land here in the Arabian Gulf. An artist and designer he has 12 years experience producing men's swimwear alongside a passionate career in painting. The son of an artist Reif has been painting since he could first pick up a brush, regularly spending his days after school in his mothers studio. It wasn’t until starting University in 2010 that he began to exhibit and commission his work as a means of getting by.  
  • Reif has developed his own style of modern art through combining bright colours and humour through his signature icons. Living his whole life by the beach Reif’s art is heavily influenced by beach culture including his signature favourites including Beach umbrellas, Seagulls, Thongs, Beers & Wine to name a few.
  • His work is best described as art to be enjoyed rather than analysed. Combining humour with clusters of detail they become conversational pieces. It's busyness attracts the viewer to spend more time engaging with the painting, pointing out new stories whilst hopefully having a laugh.
  • His first international solo exhibition ‘Seagull in My Drink’ combines personal experiences, recognisable icons and characters he’s created over the years. Living and painting overseas will always throw you new inspiration and he can’t wait to weird up the walls.
